Flood and Drain Hydroponics

Continuous drip sometimes called Top Feed or Top Drip uses a pump in a reservoir and has a small supply line connected to each plant. at the end of each supply line there is a drip emitter that can be adjusted to drip at specific rates. the plant will never go dry and excess water can be recovered and reciculated. Because the emitters have such small nozzles they are sometime prone to clogging from the solution. Emitters should be checked periodically so ensure the desired amount of solution is being supplied to the plant.

With larger gardens it can prove a challenge to have emitters deliver water uniformly so care must be taken when setting up hoses and line fittings.
